We are in the midst of a sexually transmitted disease epidemic in the United States and the numbers show that the epidemic is getting worse each year. Unfortunately, the epidemic is having its greatest effect on the nation’s young people between the ages of 15 and 25 years of age. These young Americans are being negatively impacted by diseases that sometimes have life-long and life-threatening consequences
This self-paced course has been designed to educate the public about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). It is designed to give a realistic view of their impact on individuals, families, and communities. It is also designed to give positive steps toward prevention, risk reduction, testing, and treatment.
This course has been recently updated in 2021 to reflect the latest CDC statistics.
